Hi, I am Rui!

I am a PhD Student in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University and Instituto Superior Técnico. My research interests lie primarily in the areas of artificial intelligence and planning. My work focuses on the development of techniques for planning over possible modifications to an environment, in order to maximize a given reward function. I am also interested, and have experience, in the application of machine learning and reinforcement learning techniques to different domains, including robotics.
